The Stage

I've been on that stage! A few years ago we went there during their Gold Rush Days - don't remember if that is the name of the event but it's about the 49er days. We took the stage and of course we got robbed when the outlaws stopped the stage - all in great fun. I rode on the roof because the inside was full and it was a hot day. It was nice on top but the stage driver had to tell us a couple times to duck for low branches. I'm not much for heights and the stage bucks around on the road, but we had a great time. Their Gold Rush town is a must see during their event - seems like all of Columbia dresses up in '49er costume to play a role, and they want you to stop and talk to them and ask them about their life or work. A highlight was stopping at one of the Gold Rush town stores where they sold you a tin cup of lemonade and it might be the best cup of lemonade I ever had. I still have the tin cup in my office. Definitely will go back when I'm in the area at the right time, and I'll ride on top of the stage again - I highly recommend this event and the stage ride!
